Abstract Submission
The Scientific Organizing Committee invites abstract submissions to be considered for oral or
poster presentations. All abstract submissions will be accepted or rejected on the basis of a
peer review.
Abstract Submission Requirement
Abstracts must be written in clear English. New registered participants may submit abstract
electronically through the registration form.
Already registered participants
and anyone that should encounter difficulties with this electronic submission, may send abstract as
an attached file MS-Word for Windows, txt or pdf, by e-mail only to the conference
e-mail.
Submissions will be acknowledged by e-mail to the submitting author. Please contact the Local
Organizing Committee if not receiving the confirmation email within 3 days after the
submission. Please use the presentation format outlined below.
Abstract Format

2. Content
Title
Title should be brief and clearly indicate the nature of the presentation.
Authors
Full given names should precede the family name. Omit degrees (M.D., Ph.D.) and titles (Prof.,
Dr. etc.). If a co-author's affiliation is different from the presenting author's, please identify in
superscript numerals. For paper submissions, place an asterisk(*) after the name of the author
presenting the paper.
Institution
In the middle, on a separate line, type the name of the institution, and the country.
Body Text
The abstract limit is 2,400 characters including the title, authors, and blank spaces.
Please, look at the following abstract example.
The Local Organizing Committee will take care of editing and
publish the abstracts booklet in an appropriate format.
For late registration, deadline for abstract submission is June 1st, 2009, notification of
acceptance will be sent by June 13, 2009.
General Guideline for Presentations
Presentation format
1 - Papers will be presented in either oral or poster format. The presenting author will be possibly
required to make a Powerpoint presentation. Submitting authors may specify their preferred session
and format for the presentation at the time of submission. We will try to allocate presentations to
preferred sessions, but reserve the right to allocate presentations to another format if required.
2. Deadline for abstract submission is April 15, 2009. Notification of acceptance to the
corresponding author will be sent by April 28, 2009.
3. Submission of an abstract does not constitute registration for the congress. Presenters are required
to register for the congress.
4. At least one author of each abstract must be present at the meeting for the oral or poster
presentation.
5. Abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentation will be published in the abstracts booklet and
distributed among the participants to the conference.
