AGN populations in a hard selected sample of the XMDS survey

We present multiband (X-ray, opt and IR) data for 136 hard selected X-ray sources (S/N > 3 at [2-10] keV) in the XMM Medium Deep Survey. 89% of them are photometrically identified and all but 2 have an X/O typical of AGN. Sources with significant X-ray absorption have optical colors typical of galaxies (red) while X-ray unabsorbed ones generally show colors typical of type1 AGN (blue). The stacked X-ray spectra of red objects is consistent with that of the XRB. We present 8 quasar-2 candidates.
