X-ray look to the Sy1 Galaxy Mkn 590: XMM-Newton and Chandra reveal FeK lines

A.L. Longinotti, S. Bianchi, M. Santos-Lleo et al.

We report on the observations of the Sy 1 Mkn 590 performed by XMM-Newton and Chandra/HETGs. The long exposure (~100 ks) allows to reveal in great detail the presence of three narrow Fe K lines,at 6.4, 6.7 and 7 keV. The 6.4 keV line is fully consistent with being produced in the torus since a Compton reflection component is observed in the data. The two ionised Fe lines are likely to be produced in a photoionised gas. The soft X-ray spectrum observed at high resolution is discussed as well.
