The nuclear region of the Seyfert 2 galaxy Mrk 3

Integral field data of Mkn3 have been obtained with the Multi Pupil Fiber Spectrograph of Special Astrophysical Observatory (Russia) to investigate the inner 4 kpc of this Seyfert 2 galaxy. We present recontructed maps of the principal emission lines to derive the morphology, kinematics and the physical condition of the extended ionized region. We also show maps of the stellar line of sight velocity distribution and broad band optical images used to study the overall morphology of the galaxy.
