Is the light bending effect at work in the core of NGC 4051 and IRAS 13224-3809

A new interpretation of the X-ray spectral variability of the Narrow Line Seyfert 1 galaxies NGC 4051 and IRAS 13224-3809 is presented. In both cases the nuclear emission is decomposed into two variable components: direct power-law emission and relativistic ionized reflection from the accretion disc. However the reflected component does not correlate at all flux levels with the direct component, but rather seems to follows the predictions of the light bending model.
