Black Hole Mass Measurements with Adaptive Optic Assisted Spectroscopy

Guia Pastorini & Alessandro Marconi

The very high spatial resolution provided by AO assisted spectroscopic observations allows to obtain accurate BH mass estimates,a crucial step to better investigate the tight galaxy-BH relation. I will present preliminary results from VLT/SINFONI spectroscopy of 5 objects with MBH estimates from Reverberation Mapping. Our goal is to measure MBH with gas and stellar methods, to compare the results with RM and to study the MBH-galaxy relations in active galaxies
