Faint type-1 AGN sample in the VIMOS-VLT Deep Survey

I present the type-1 AGN sample extracted from the VVDS. The sample, purely magnitude limited, free of morphological or color selection biases, contains 130 BLAGN with z up to 5. Because of its depth (I<24) and selection criteria, this sample is uniquely suited to study the population of faint AGN. I present the measurement of the surface density and the derivation of the luminosity function up to z=3.6.
