Padua is accessible from the A4 (Milan - Venice) motorway and from the A13 (Bologna - Padua).

By train

The main train lines reaching Padua are the Milan - Venice and Rome - Venice. There are fast connection between those cities during the day. The city is also easily reachable by trains from several main cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The closest airports to Padua are Venice Marco Polo International Airport (VCE) and Treviso Antonio Canova International Airport (TSF).

Venice Marco Polo International Airport: This airport is served by several major air carriers which connect the city to all the main destination around the world.

Treviso Antonio Canova International Airport: This airport is mainly served by low-cost companies such as Ryanair and Wizz Air.

Get to Padova from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE)

• BUSITALIA
  Unfortunately the website is just in italian. Select "VENEZIA AEROPORTO MARCO POLO TESSERA" as departure station ("Fermata di partenza") and "PADOVA - AUTOSTAZIONE" as arrival station ("Fermata di arrivo"), then select the date and click on "Corse di andata". One every hour (in some slots every half-hour) Tickets must be purchased at the ticket seller quiosque inside the airport (8.50 € each) Its final stop is Padova bus station, close to the train station. From there you can take a bus or take a taxi [to the Botanical garden about 10 minutes and 10-15 €].

• SHUTTLE AIRSERVICE
  To be booked in advance Book Airservice, a shuttle that picks you up at the airport and takes you to the specified address. (33€ 1 person, 58 € for 2 people, ...)
• SHUTTLE GOOPTI
  To be booked in advance Similar to Option 2, but its cost depends on the chosen flexibility and how much in advance you book it. Furthermore, you can specify as an arrival some predefined location (cheaper) or to specific addresses. Close to botanical garden is "PRATO DELLA VALLE"
• TAXI. This certainly works from Padova to airport, I am not sure for the other way around. Ask for the fixed rate between Venice Airport and anywhere in Padova: 80 €
